With the days in the 100's, this weekend I decided to devote my time to the studio. I wanted to paint a scene that reminded me of the coming fall, my favorite time of year. Luckily, I have a lot of reference material.

I got a call from a friend to meet him somewhere near my house to paint. I chose Old Settlers Park, knowing he would enjoy the scenery. At first I resisted meeting him, other plans, but after about 5 minutes decided to paint. Glad I did!
