Tressle On Brushy Creek

When The Texas State Capitol was being built in the 1800's, pink granite was hauled from Marble Falls to Austin by train. There was a wreck here and tons of the granite was left under the bridge. One of my favorite spots, it's also a great swimming hole for my dog, Stella. This was at sunset with the sun facing me. 8x10.

Last of the Wildflowers

I painted this early afternoon. Was looking like a storm brewing.
Obviously, quite humid. Had to position myself in a tunnel of shade under the oaks.

Inks Lake

Painted this 9x12 on Sunday. It was 95 degrees in the shade, breezy, and I was fighting with a cheap umbrella. Another reason to buy quality! This is a decent frame work for a larger painting. I may take one of the boulders in the center out. We call it twinning in animation.

Mimosa

I had just arrived home after work, gave Stella her treat, and decided to grab my paints and hike into the far depths of my backyard and record nature at her finest. Or something like that...

Thistle Field

I came across this field with wonderful cloud patterns

and purple thistle flowers while riding my bike,

hustled home and immediately packed my easel

and dog and headed back before sundown.

New 10x12 Open Box M!

Just got my 10x12 Open Box M easel on Friday.
Took it to Becks Preserve for a test run on Sat.
This is a 1 hour 8x10.
