Tressle On Brushy Creek

When The Texas State Capitol was being built in the 1800's, pink granite was hauled from Marble Falls to Austin by train. There was a wreck here and tons of the granite was left under the bridge. One of my favorite spots, it's also a great swimming hole for my dog, Stella. This was at sunset with the sun facing me. 8x10.

Grand Old Men

18x24 oil on linen canvas.
First studio painting I've had time to do in awhile.
Really struggled with this one!

Last of the Wildflowers

I painted this early afternoon. Was looking like a storm brewing.
Obviously, quite humid. Had to position myself in a tunnel of shade under the oaks.

Late Afternoon Oak Trees

This is the area I take Stella for walks. We had a doe staring us down and staying closeby.
I forgot my camera. 8x10, oil on canvas board.

Inks Lake

Painted this 9x12 on Sunday. It was 95 degrees in the shade, breezy, and I was fighting with a cheap umbrella. Another reason to buy quality! This is a decent frame work for a larger painting. I may take one of the boulders in the center out. We call it twinning in animation.
