Encaustic on panel
I'm always searching for techniques to experiment with. I've been a fan of encaustic, hot wax painting, for years. It's very different from applying oil paint to a canvas. The wax dries on contact, so you must be diligent. On the other hand, it's easy to manipulate and glaze. The technique reminds me somewhat of gouache.
